The Cosmos Method

Our unique way of reading tarot, mirrored to what is happening in the sky right now. The same card under a Full Moon in Scorpio tells a different story than under a New Moon in Taurus.

Why bring in the cosmos?

Tarot has always had a bond with astrology. Every Major Arcana card is tied to a planet or zodiac sign, every Minor Arcana card to a decan. The Cosmos Method makes that layer explicit: we look not only at the card you draw, but at the sky you draw it under.

The three layers of a Solara reading

☾ Layer 1, Moon phase

New Moon = sowing, intentions, a blank page. Waxing Moon = building, action. Full Moon = receiving, climax, seeing clearly. Waning Moon = releasing, clearing, integrating. The same card takes on a different color depending on the phase.

♄ Layer 2, Planetary positions

Which planets are in which sign right now? A Mercury retrograde gives every Swords card an extra "wait, read again" undertone. Venus in Taurus makes a Two of Cups soft and sensual; Venus in Scorpio makes the same card obsessive.

✶ Layer 3, Time stamp

The exact moment you draw the card is recorded: date, time, location. So you can later look back at which card came under which sky. Patterns you'd never see in a loose notebook suddenly become visible.

An example from life

Someone drew the Tower three months in a row, always around Full Moon, always with Mars in a fiery sign. A pattern emerged in their workbook: they ended relationships exactly when their body was charged with action. The Tower wasn't a prediction of disaster, but a mirror of their own rhythm. Only by adding the cosmos layer did they see what their tarot had been trying to say for months.

How Solara does this for you

Every time you draw a card in Solara, we automatically store the cosmic context. In your workbook you see, beside each draw, a small moon icon, the ruling zodiac sign and — if you want — the exact aspects in play at that moment. No astrology knowledge needed; the Knowledge Source and the app help you read it.
